Carlsbad Caverns

over the weekend, Dan had some time off so we decided to take a road trip. We went to Carlsbad Caverns in Southern New Mexico. You walk down into the ground 75, yes 75!!! storeys and then (we would've walked out if they would've let us) you take an elevator out. It was amazing. Much to Brookie's disappointment, the bats that live there are only there from March to October so we did not get to see the bat flight, which is one of the most exciting things about Carlsbad Caverns. so we just enjoyed the stalactites nad stalagmites without the bats. :)

This is the whales mouth, I'm not exactly sure how many storeys down this was.

This is the entrance to the cave. The "Big Room" at the very bottom of the caves were the size of 5 or 6 (can't remember) football stadiums, with several Giants in it (stalactites).

The Bottomless Lakes in Roswell, NM. Very worth going to(wink, wink)!

MEXICO??? Well, almost. It was right on the border and it was warm!!!

The Bottomless Lakes, again.!!

Our highly intelligent baby usually reads the business section, but she was taking a break and checking out the sports!
